Ballband dishcloth

I just love these ballband dishcloths.  I've made 4 so far in 2 different color combos: yellow/green and brown; red and brown.  I gifted the brown and red set I made previously so now I'm making another one for me - or to gift again - whatever comes first.

February KAL Square

I finally finished the February KAL square I started in mid-March. When I started this afghan project I was whipping out a square every 2 days. I also wasn't working. While I'm happy to have found a job after 5 long, sometimes depressing, months, it is seriously eating into my knitting time. I also got on a dishcloth knitting jag that prevented me from working on anything else. Most of them are from Kris Knits. I suggest you check her out. Her patterns are super cute.

Today I had hoped to make a scrumptious dessert to take to a friend's for dinner, something with custard and strawberries... but I just don't have it in me. I need to save up all my homemaker-iness to bake some bread for our new neighbors. Again, this work thing is harder to adjust to than I imagined. I'm not quite sure how I ran the household before my sabbatical - and I don't even have kids! just 1 cranky cat and a husband. Central Market to the rescue with a great looking blueberry pie. I'm sure it will be as well received (if not better) than anything I could have put together.

For now I'm going to enjoy one last hour of knitting the March KAL square before heading out to dinner.
